Seed Bank

A grey day when rain was expected but didn't arrive. Fortunately the drop in temperature usually associated with a good rainfall did materialise. The last two days have been unbearable.

Looking across the prairie I spied a dash of yellow and there deep amongst the green plants was an goldfinch feeding on last years seeds. I was surprised to get as clear a shot as I did given the low light.
