a sunny winter's day. I'd almost forgotten that they exist. 
some other pluses about today...
Went to a positive in-person job interview.
My National Police Check arrived in the mail. Nil convictions...well, I could have told them that!
Finally sorted out dealings with a government agency that has taken over a week's worth of paperwork to complete.
Had a good phone interview for a job I'd just about given up on.
oh, and found out I'd won first prize in one of the categories of the Clare & Gilbert Valley Council's Photography competition. thank you very much
