Leafcutter Bee

Unusually, this bee decided to pose on a sweet pea leaf, allowing me to observe it in profile. Earlier I had been watching leafcutters bringing fragments of leaf back to their nests in the bee hotel. Busy bees, they deserve a rest.

I also took some pics of the Martins, who at long last in the last week have settled and are back at the nest under the apex of the roof. It’s not easy getting a focussed image, so nothing for blip. But good to have them back.
