A day in the life

Busy bee

On my walk I noticed lots of little sand heaps and holes on a 20 m long sandy stretch of a dirt road. Many bees were working at the "site". Quickly down the hole and twenty seconds later it appeared pushing sand out with its hind legs. I consulted Google and my suggestion is that it can be a "Pantalon" bee or, "Dasypoda hirtipes" in latin. Let me know if you know what the species is. Fascinating to watch. I made a short video of one of the bees working. Here.
