Straight.

I thought this would be a suitable photo for Wide Wednesday’s challenge ‘ Straight’.

The ladders belong to our decorator who came late morning to start preparing the windows for painting.
Typically he was broken off two or three times due to some heavy showers. Just hope it is dry for the next few days when he starts painting.

He showed us some photos, taken last week,
shaking hands with King Charles when he visited the Royal Yacht Britannia.
M was in the Royal Navy and served on the Royal Yacht back in the 1980’s He was actually on board for the honeymoon of Charles and Diana.
Now he goes up every year in May, for a week, to help the maintenance staff with any decorating jobs which need doing.
It is nice for him to meet up with the other volunteers, many of whom he served with all those years ago. Certainly has lots of tales to tell!
