Klakkur

Today the forecast was for improving weather, so we took the 12:45 bus to Klaksvík, with the aim of climbing Klakkur (413m) for the view of the islands of Kalsoy and Kunoy. However, when we arrived it was wet and windy, so we took a short walk to Klaksvík's "park" (conifer plantation) since the streams flowing through it were in spate.

With four hours until the next bus to Tórshavn, it was fortunate that the weather improved while we were having lunch. So, we set off up Klakkur with some confidence that it would be worth getting to the summit. In the event, the view was mostly clear (see extra), and we got back to the bus stop with 20 minutes to spare.

Now we return to Tórshavn for dinner, before packing to leave tomorrow.
