An ordinary life....

Wine, women, thankfully no song!

Backblip

Some final food prep before these wonderful women descended upon me for the night.

Almost quarter of a century since we all met on a course for parents of children with disabilities, we have gathered as often as we can (not often enough) which isn’t always easy as we are all scattered (Stranraer, Peebles, Rothesay, Dumbarton and Lanark and Edinburgh for the two that couldn’t make it) so our time together is precious.

Since our last get together Eileen has (successfully) battled breast cancer, Dot’s been seriously ill with a perforated duodenal ulcer (almost fully recovered) and I’ve had sepsis. We know how to party!!!

As ever we had a great time together, catching up, telling outrageous stories of life in general (our hospital experiences were particularly surreal) and of course lots and lots of laughter.

Chatting into the wee small hours. These women should be in charge of the world. It would be a much better place! :-)
