Home again!

After a wonderful 5 night break. We’ve had a great time enjoying some walks inspite of the unpredictable weather.
I’ve just finished unpacking and now put the bouquet of roses in a vase. They still look splendid.
More cards had arrived whilst we were away.
This weekend will be an informal gathering of friends on Saturday, here.
One of Stephen’s former work colleagues is making a cake for this occasion.
She is making two cakes. The second one will be nut free and dairy free, as this is for the family (on Sunday).
She made both mine and Stephen’s. 70th birthday cakes.
I’ll post a link to a photo of Stephen’s.
The garden has survived a lot of rain which apparently has been falling when we were away.
The shrub roses are amazing still, and the “wildflower patch” seems to have produced some wild ones at least!
Soon be time for tea, so I’ll stop now.
I’ll be hoping to catch up with your blips now we’re home again.
