Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Here They Come!

But it was a nail biter,    5 (there were 6 but one did not have a passport) boys got up early to drive from Seattle to the ferry….in 2 cars….Nik’s in his Dad’s car with 2 friends, Roman and Tava.   Oskar was driving with Soren (Roman’s brother) in Roman’s car ( with all the golf clubs in the roof carrier) .
Roman was supposed to fill it with Gas.   It didn’t happen.   so Soren and Oskar had to stop for gas.  They locked the keys in the car!!!!   Had to call a tow truck…to open the door.   They did have a credit card for the gas, and Oskars phone.    we were sure by this time…many texts…they couldn’t make the ferry and who knew about the border?    Trying to figure out the next best thing.    BUT….I did not want  to know how fast they went….they made the ferry cutoff line with 42 seconds to spare!     whew.    A little too exciting for us so early in the morning.

Happy to have Eric to help collect them…Cocoa Bean had a  fit she had to stay behind with me but eventually settled down and then when I saw boats coming back, she ran to the dock and jumped right in the first one there..Oskar wanted every boy together in the little boat so Eric took this….. I took the extra on the deck shortly after they arrived.    Really nice kids.  They will liven this place up a bit!   They  are settling in, came and got our tv screen, took big naps. Supposedly are doing their own dinner.   Eric brought Salmon. I’m just enjoying!  Hopefully no more close calls!

Added this picture that’s on the wall…sorry about reflections.  . The beginning of Nik’s relationship with this very boat!   He’s always loved it. As do I.
