Golden Circle, Reykjavik

Backblip

Our final port in Iceland was the capital, Reykjavik and we had opted for the golden circle tour - a long 8-hour trip to see a waterfall, a Geysir park and Thingvell Park - the place where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates are parting.
Was it worth 8 hours? Not in my opinion - way too much coach travel, a poor lunch and more cold, damp and windy weather.

Extras today show the erupting volcano at a massive distance and zoom, Gullfoss Waterfall which was quite impressive and Thingvell
