Eight year Gap

Met Rebecca and Ruby in Ilkley.
They were waiting for me in the queue outside Betty’s.
Kitty joined us soon after as she had an early finish because it was the last day for her in Year 8.
We all had a meal to spend some of the vouchers we had accumulated.
I had the Rosti with Raclette as it’s something l would never make at home.
Then we all had cake, l had the gluten free chocolate cake, made with almonds, so moist.
We reminisced about the time we once came after school to wait for Verity who was in a dancing class and the waitress came out with some boxed fondant cakes to reward the girls for their good manners and behaviour.
We said our please and thank you’s  today but no such reward.
I found the photograph l took that day and saw it was taken eight years ago, so l’ve made a collage.

Verity joined us after we had eaten as she was on her way to meet friends to go to the cinema.
We still had plenty of vouchers left so Rebecca and l are coming again over the summer holidays
