Thanks for your thoughts yesterday :-)

A common yellow lichen on my side gates, more specifically xanthoria parietina. It's very pretty, but it's going to have to go as lots of the paint underneath is peeling off. Sooo I've been to B&Q and bought a tin of black Hammerite, I already have a wire brush, now I've just got to get round to it. A pity I didn't buy one of those as well!

I also came back with two plants, a bay and a stachys. Inevitable.
