Life through the lens...

Babbling brook.

You may just be able to spot Embsay Beck, as the grass is high, the buddleia is hanging over the water, and nice to see some meadowsweet growing along the bank.
This is the only photo I took today, from the carpark at The Cavendish Arms, Embsay, near Skipton.

Back from a very enjoyable day. Although I didn’t feel it was a good idea to go on the walk, we met The Pudseys for lunch at the pub afterwards. MrC and I shared a Ploughman’s.
There was certainly plenty for two people. 3 large slices of ham, 6 different cheeses, assorted pickles, salad and soda bread.
Of course had to explain why I looked a bit of a mess, which now includes a swollen black eye! Had to assure them MrC hadn’t caused it!

Afterwards we called to see MrC’s brother and wife who are now settling into their new house in Embsay.
They are enjoying having a Post Office/ shop just down the road. Before they had to drive a few miles to the get even a pint of milk.
We set off home after 5pm and managed to avoid the usual traffic jams coming through Bradford.

A warm dry day, but now has turned quite dark although only 8pm. Rain on the way I think.
