Comings and Goings

We had a FaceTime with our eldest son and his partner today, who gave us the latest news on their much-anticipated house move. We’re so pleased for them.

Our middle son and his family drove from their holiday flat in Devon to a lodge in Langdale in the Lake District, encountering very heavy traffic for the whole journey, which took many hours and involved three stops at services. Mum and Dad will be exhausted, but I bet the littlies slept in the car at some point and will probably be quite chirpy! Unfortunately the forecast is for rain every day of the week they’ll be there.

Our youngest, aka The Traveller, returns to Malta tomorrow for the last time, before coming back home for good. He will be leaving the house in the early hours while we’re asleep and will be taking off just as we wake up. Fortunately the temperatures in Malta have dropped from the mid 40s that they reached recently, and have settled back into the mid 30s, which is more comfortable.

I thought this picture of the tub of erigeron on our terrace summed up the busyness of all our offspring!
