An ordinary life....

Before and after...

Backblip

What a difference a day makes!

After breakfast straight back out to the garage to complete the task.  What a pleasure to open the garage door and see the difference.

A few more things to move and dispose of and things to photograph that will either be sold or up cycled.  LeeAnne managed to get rid of two bags of golf balls to a club local to her for their juniors to use.  She also got busy with her labelling machine and everything in the garage that has a storage purpose has been labelled within an inch of its life.  Brilliant!

She has such a logical mind and instinctively knows what should go where.  David gave up trying to use his initiative and let her get on with it, knowing that her plan would be better.

Back indoors for lunch - delicious bacon, brie and cranberry melts from our local deli.  Alan and Andrew had a hydro session while we had lunch.  Lots of hilarity coming from the pool!

Back out to the garage and it was time to tackle the building of a day bed that we bought two years ago, which didn't want to fit together.  David eventually got fed up swearing at it and it was abandoned in the outhouse. LeeAnne was game to have a go at building it.

They started off well.  Took it apart and started again.  OMG!  The next few hours were absolute torture!  This was not a cheap bit of kit, but OMG the design and workmanship and instructions were horrendous!  David felt vindicated in his original defeat.

What should have taken a couple of hours, took all afternoon!  Cursing, cursing and more cursing!  All I could do was laugh shout encouragement from the sidelines ;-))  At last it was complete!  Well almost.  The struts that control the hood don't work so we'll have to contact the manufacturer for replacements.  Two years since we purchased the damn thing so we'll probably have to pay for them.  Photos of D and LeeAnne testing their hard work in extras as well as other photos summarising the last two days :-)

Jordan headed off with Alan and Andrew to Dundee, where Andrew's mum was picking him up.  He went away happily with a load of Malteser rocky road!

Photos taken of the items we want to try and sell / upcycle then a final tidy up and the last items (five internal doors and a bath) were put into the skip.  LeeAnne had to get home to Pepsi (her cat) so gave her her dinner (spaghetti Bol and garlic bread) and some Malteser rocky road in a doggy bag, and after a hug she was on her way.

LeeAnne, we can't thank you enough for all your hard work!  We literally could not have done this without you.  Your clever watch told you you'd walked 8 miles yesterday!  You must have walked even more today!  You are worth your weight in gold and I am SO glad I thought to hire you to help!  :-)

Once LeeAnne was gone we had dinner, watched a little TV then were in bed by 11pm, absolutely shattered.  But very, very happy!  :D
