60 years of Queen Elizabeth

Been planning this picture for a few weeks, today there was a service to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the coronation of the Queen.

In the village of Maulds Meaburn - in the middle of the village green, is a double childs swing, at the top of which is E II R 1953. I think it's amazing that it has survived that long and is still in such good condition.

Between Maulds Meaburn and Crosby Ravensworth, there is a bench, I think presented by the WI, also commemorating the Queen.

Royalist or otherwise, (and I admit - I am), she has worked tirelessly for 60 years as the head of state, and is loved and respected the world over. More so than any president!
