Deliveries

We had a delivery this morning - two wicker chairs to go in the little alcove off the dining room, which can also be used out on the deck; and an LED mirror with demister for the ensuite, which doesn’t have a mirror at the moment. MrMacD designed and printed two birthday cards and I did some online research.  We decided to have an early lunch and then walk into town to do a couple of chores.  However, just as we were about to leave another delivery arrived - a wicker sofa and chairs, two side tables and a rather nice mirror for the hallway - all from the second hand furniture store.  The sofa and chairs are for the deck and we have to refurbish the side tables before they go into the second bedroom.  The really great thing was the two lovely guys who did the delivery agreed to move the big fridge down to the laundry.  They did it with a smile and refused to take any money.  How very kind!  The kitchen/dining/study area now looks so much bigger without a large fridge sitting in the middle of the floor.

We had intended to walk into town, but the delivery and moving the fridge took a bit of time and we really wanted to visit the chap at the double glazing office, as well as post the two birthday cards, so we took the car.  We had a good look at the type of windows proposed and were satisfied they’d work for us. We then visited the second hand furniture store, checked the measurements of two cabinets, decided to buy them and also a small table to sit with our two new wicker chairs.  We’re going to be kept busy refurbishing these items too.  Much more fun than buying new.

We returned home, grabbed some shopping bags and walked to the supermarket and back.  Just after we walked in the door it started to rain and got very windy.  We were so pleased we hadn’t got caught in that.  While I washed and dried all the shelves and drawers from the big fridge, MrMacD put up a small towel rail in the ensuite.

I took a photo of the sunrise through the same mirror that I blipped a couple of nights ago with the moon shining through (https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3133346793316681191).
