Suffolk Day 1: Orford

Spot the gull in large
Back blip

Im and I had a jolly few days in Suffolk.
We broke the drive down at RHS Hyde Hall, and enjoyed seeing a sculpture exhibition in the dry garden there... They were apparently inspired by Aesop's Fables, but seemed more like sculptures that had then had Aesop's Fables attached to them ("The tortoise and the hare" was represented by a pair of hares boxing, and "The goose and the golden eggs" was represented by a duck).
Once we checked in to our lodgings near Hollesley, we went on to see Orford... We enjoyed ambling around Orford in the late afternoon, including along the river, through a turnip field, and around the rather handsome little castle. I've never seen so many wood pigeons!
