Friday

There's a particular variety of blackberry that grows in pockets in the hedgerows around here.

They look like they've been bought from M&S or Waitrose but I know where these pockets are. Big and plump and juicy. Jo picked a carrier bag full but I was happy with a freezer bag.

Home to make a quick jam to put on top of a vanilla sponge and pudding is served. Delicious.

The hospital rang, asking Clive questions about Roger. Clive gave them Tim's mobile as he's No.1 carer. (Where's the family?)

A fairly warm day and I enjoyed time in the garden. Horrendous forecast for tomorrow.

This evening, we walked into town for drinks with the gang. Quite a crowd of us.
