Day at a Time

Puffins!

Not the best puffin I've ever blipped but when you have one there's not really any contest.

Awoke early to a beautiful sunrise. Did some beachcombing then set off on a walk we've done many times  before. First of all the famous Castle o'Burrian then the Bay of Tafts. The puffins will be gone soon but we saw quite a number on the sea stack (extra 2). The Bay of Tafts (extra 1) was empty and we walked along the sand for ages.

It is wonderful to be back in Pierowall. We ate very well at the cafe/bistro now serving evening meals Wednesday - Friday. Tonight we will have haddock from Pierowall Fish/Jack's Chippy.

A large part of the pleasure of being  here is watching the tide come up and go down from the cottage. We are right on the bay with a perfect view.  I understand that not many people in UK currently have warm sunshine and a gentle breeze so we know how fortunate we are.
