Sgwarnog: In the Field

Spirit

15yo and I had a Sunday outing to Skipton. Trains and stations were busier than usual with people heading east into Leeds Pride and the football and west to the Bingley Weekender.

After lunch at the pottery painting cafe we went for our customary walk in the woods. Anna Cross’ willow sculpture ‘Spirit of the Medieval Huntress’ greets us at the entrance - I have probably shared it in this journal before but it is an impressive piece, so worth repeats.

The forecast rain held off, so we completed some errands around the shops, including yet another replacement umbrella and some birthday gifts. A few books were acquired in the Oxfam book shop, but I resisted the vinyl.
