By the river not on it!

These are some of the many paintings on fencing round a building site in Kingston near John Lewis. This area has had plans for redevelopment for over a year but nothing happening as yet. They seem to be regularly overpainted so look fresh and not tatty which is nice. Usually I only see them driving by but today I was walking. 

We had been to the funeral of the husband of an ex-colleague.  He was only 68 so very sad. 2 of his daughters bravely talked about him at the service and the celebrant did a great job with notes she had been given from the family…she made it sound as if she knew him. 

We took a couple of others to the service and then my husband dropped us at the house where we had a celebration of his life. Luckily it was sunny so we could also sit in the garden. I decided to walk home as probably quicker than taking two buses as only about 2 miles.
