Photo-shoot Springvale Community Garden

Our camera club has had an evening photo-shoot in a local community run garden. Fortunately the sun came out for the last couple of hours of the evening - it's been a dull and cold day for us today.

This bee, which I think is a Common Carder bee held my interest for a while and I managed three fairly decent images of it. The Comfrey seemed to be the place to be for the few insects that were about this evening. (Actually far more scouts than insects and I'm not really supposed to photograph them!)

I spent far more time today trying to make silk purses out of some photographs for our next club competition entitled `Hands are for holding'. I'd nearly decided not to enter - I suspect if the weather had been fine I would have found something in the garden to do instead. Well I've shown willing.
