Partial

I had seen Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterflies over recent days, but at a distance or in flight and wasn't able to photograph them. Although today gave me a chance, this specimen had lost part of its wing. Still, that is the reality of life. Should we only photograph perfection? Perhaps we can also celebrate imperfection once in a while (as long as it's a good photograph).

Decided to get a new lens, mainly for travel. The 70-300 is half the weight of the 100-400, but it will accept a teleconverter, so I can achieve the same reach. I can also use the new lens hand held, as with this shot. Discovered the ISMODE:Continuous setting which greatly helps using a longer lens hand held. Still got to watch for moving subjects!
