Hellebore....

....dark, velvet petals contrasting beautifully with it's creamy centre as it sits with it's head slightly hung amongst dark green foliage, it's abundant with flowers, stunning! In my garden it's been a great season for these winter roses, must be all the frosts we've been having.

It's been a week of contacting Dog Control, they have visited our neighbours twice and visited us today. We don't mind dogs, we've got one ourselves but these bully mixed breed, a male and female don't visit us with tails waging, no they come and stand, feet apart, stare with their tails on high alert. They guard our driveway, bark and follow us when we come home, collect the bins or clear our mailbox. We're all on tender hooks along with other neighbours. I would hate for anything to happen on our driveway or out on the footpath, makes me shiver. They just need to be contained, that's all we're asking. Frustrating days!!

Saturday.....another cracker frost this morning followed by a cold, calm and sunny winters day, 11C

Happy weekend everyone :)
