Iced Americano

...without the ice

I had a long talk with this homeless guy today.  I hadn't seen him in Winchester before and indeed he confirmed he was just passing through, travelling the country on the current subsidised £2.00 bus fares.  He said he'd been living outside for seven years, not because of drugs or alcohol (which he appeared to despise) but because he'd somehow fallen out of the Benefits system.  You never really know, do you, but he was desperate to talk.  I bought him a coffee (an iced Americano without the ice) and gave him £2 to get to his next stop.  He said he fancied Andover.  Well, good luck to him.

That was this morning.  This afternoon I made some rather good gluten free fruit scones, which K and I are working our way through with jam and clotted cream.  Hazel would like to join in, but isn't allowed too.  Still, she says thank you to everyone who commented on her blip yesterday ;))

Wishing you a great Saturday evening/Sunday morning  xx
