Something I've never done?

Clean the Gutters.  
There's no need.  
A week or so ago I saw Mary, next door (Another Octogenarian), up a ladder cleaning the Gutters.  No need, the rain cleans mine.  
     If I look out the front Door every few months and see a thin trickle across the path I know it's time to excavate;  a few minutes in an attitude of Prayer and the way is clear with a goodly addition to the soil for the garden AND 2-3 "Lumbricus Terrestris" or similar, they seem, while not actually aquatic, to be able to survive submerged for a considerable time.
