The Missing Sock

So many questions:
How does one lose a sock but not the shoe?
Who hangs a sock up in a bush?
Why? 

Obviously the Garrison Keillor poem sprang to mind.

Lovely storm last night - not for everyone though.  U-Bahn tunnels in Frankfurt were flooded - 2 feet/60cm water there

It's been a very weird summer.  Long may it continue.
