Sand Girl

This morning Mrs L and I went to Witney to pick up our pottery works of art and then went to Blenheim Palace.
It was freezing and grey in Witney and blowing a howling gale. Not quite the balmy twenty degree sunshine we'd been expecting.
But miraculously between Witney and Blenheim the sun came out and the skies turned glorious blue and the temperature shot up by about ten degrees! Yay!!!!
We had a fabulous day - tea and snacks as soon as we got there followed by fun and games in the sandpit. Miss L was rolling around and burying herself in it and making sand angels and generally having a ball. Baby T decided he didn't like sand after dipping a toe in. Sensible boy!!
We had a picnic lunch in the play area and then more fun in the sandpit, then ice-cream. What a lovely day!!
Then it was all a blur of rushing back to school, taking Miss E swimming, coming home to dinner, Peter Rabbit and a protracted, annoying bedtime.
But they went quiet eventually and now I'm catching up with trashy TV.
A cup of tea and bed soon I think!
