Damselfly

Today has been a very lazy day. All we have really done is watch sport on TV, beginning with the women's World Cup final. Sadly it was not to be for England's women this time - Spain just had the edge on the day. Mary Earps, England's excellent goalkeeper (Mary, Queen of stops!) kept the score to 1-0 with an excellent penalty save as well as making other saves throughout the match. I'm sure they will come back better!

After a bit of lunch we took a walk by the river bank to find Blips. It's another lovely day. I know I Blipped a damselfly recently but though there were a few butterflies around not many settled, and it was not for long when they did! I think Brian will have a better butterfly photo than mine so I will stick with this one. I think it is an Emerald Spreadwing

This afternoon we watched an online stream of Leeds Rhinos v Warrington Wolves, which Leeds narrowly won. It was entertaining and closely contested with a few changes of the lead. Warrington could have won with the last play of the game but Leeds hung on to win.

I have football on again now - West Ham and Chelsea are drawing. 1-1 and Chelsea just had a penalty saved! It has been really good to have a low-key, relaxing day for what feels like the first time in ages! Brian is off tomorrow and we may go over to the coast if the weather stays good.
