Talking rubbish

Heavy rain this morning so I stayed in and dealt with some 'office work' including the next instalment of my plant blog for Scotland's Gardens Scheme.

This afternoon there was a GRAB Trust (GROUP for RECYCLING in ARGYLL & BUTE) meeting at the Rockfield Centre here in Oban, to discuss rubbish, reuse and recycling. Only 27 people there, with quite a few youngsters from Oban High School - preaching to the converted, as usual, I'm afraid. It was interesting, with various speakers, a lot of discussion and some good tea and cakes!

Not sure we arrived at any real conclusions, but it certainly brought the subject to the forefront of our minds - no doubt there'll be a report in the local paper.
