Riding the Anemone

There are always plenty of bees around the anemones, but this is the first time I have seen a dragonfly and it very obligingly landed on one of the fading blooms.  Be sure to view it in large.  Soon a bee moved it off and it landed on a twig where you would expect to see it.  It allowed me to get quite close and I have loaded an extra where you get a closer look at the compound eyes. 

This is a busy week as we are preparing to head off to the beach for a week and that will be followed by weeks of travel, until the middle of October. Lots of good things to look forward to.
