Napping in the Hibiscus

There has been a coincidence of events at Huntley Meadows.  According to the park rangers, because water levels were too high in June, there is a bumper crop of wild Hibiscus.  Usually there are a few, but this year, they are in abundance.   In addition, the tiny Green Tree frogs have emerged early.  They usually appear in late August and early September, but this year, they appeared in late July.  In all the years I have been going to Huntley Meadows, I have never seen a frog in a flower...because there were no flowers.

This little guy was snoozing right next to the boardwalk and drawing quite a lot of attention from the photographers.
