Show time

It's been a showery day.  Apart from popping into Holyhead to pick up a click and collect food order, I've had a deliberately restful day.

Lucky for us that the house we're staying in is a very family-friendly one: well-equipped with toys, games and a pleasantly shabby (= well-used) playroom. We've been visiting this house each summer, as a group of friends, for around 40 years - ever since Jack and Ruth were tiny babies. Over that time the house has been extended and updated in some ways, but it has retained its homely feeling.
This afternoon Luca, Frieda (both aged four) and Euan (aged two) decided to put on a 'show' in the playroom. A true mini-pantomime, really, complete with improvised song and dance routines, and much hiding behind the voluminous door curtain and then rushing out again. Here, Luca jumps out while Frieda and Euan giggle behind the folds. Happy times.
