Mist on the Water..

...a reminder every morning now that autumn is almost here! 

The morning was not promising, but the day turned out to be quite lovely...and warm enough to have a swim and even to sit on the dock into the early evening.

The day was exciting for my sister and me as my daughter and SIL showed up with a new hot water tank and spent the rest of the afternoon installing it..which was a bit more complicated than we expected as they moved it to another room which meant some extra plumbing tasks..So the highlight of our day? Hot water! No more cold showers! 

While sitting on the dock, we spied three deer on the opposite shore and were entertained by that raft of Mergansers as the whole family - mom with 14 young ones - dashed and sped and dove and splashed their way all around the back bay, ending up passing right by us as we sat there on the dock! No shots of the deer - they again were rather blurred...

So good to have my daughter and SIL here...life is always so much more active and interesting when they are around!
