On the road again!

Yes , I know we’ve not been back long from our England and Norway trip, but this time we’re heading north with the camper up to Wisconsin to vacation with Jen and Laura in northern Wisconsin, visiting the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior, using Bayfield as a base. Today, we were going as far as Wausau, where Laura lives, and we are staying three nights at a campsite at Marathon Park in the town. Then, Jen flies in from Atlanta on Tuesday morning, and we head up to Bayfield, with Laura following after work in the evening.
Today’s journey was about 585 miles and Google estimates between 9 and 9 1/2 hours. However, that doesn’t count in bathroom breaks, and lunch break, and towing a camper, we’re driving a little below the speed limit to economize a little. Otherwise, we had a good drive, with no major delays, and arrived at the campground about 7pm, having gained an hour en route, since Wausau is on Central Time. We just unhitched the camper and put the legs down, then headed over to Laura’s where she was cooking dinner for us, using various fresh vegetables she had bought from the farmers market that morning! She had just come back to Wausau late yesterday evening, after being at a conference In Washington DC all week. She’s a busy young lady! My blip was taken at one of the rest areas we stopped at en route.
