Shadows

Which means the sun was shining. Not only that but it was shining with enough warmth that it drove away the dampness, and we could eat a late breakfast out on the deck. The cosmos were looking very lovely with the sun, and the dark forest, behind them (extra), but I found the shadows of the cosmos more dynamic.
Sudden warmth, and much drier air meant that today I did a lot of outdoor jobs...

- Cut back the wild raspberry that were encroaching on the grass, and had completely covered the steps down onto the lawn.
- Dug up a couple of buckets of potatoes, and weeded the potato area at the same time - trying to keep the comfrey under control.

- Cut the lower lawn. Not usually a huge job but coming as a follow-up to the previous two activities it was a bit exhausting. I will undoubtedly sleep very well tonight!
