Life in Sunny Dubai

It was busy at work this morning! It was good then to switch off for an early lunch. I was well ready for it.

The movie Queen of the Desert was showing on one of the free channels, so we watched that. Once again, we waited until the car had been in the shade before we ventured out to do a few chores. Recycling was first on the list. It allowed taking a picture of the hire car by the beach.

We then went to Wafi where we bumped into our friend, Farzan. She had a bit of time, so we had a coffee in Icons before parting ways. We came back to a very dark car park and square. It is Onam today so all the shops are closed. It makes you realise how many South Indians run the businesses downstairs, including the restaurant below our flat!

And I have caught up with four days of blips whilst watching The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel!

PS. My extra - they've been doing repairs to the stained glass panels on the iconic pyramid roof in Wafi. I've posted a picture of this many times in the past, but I'm sure it looked very different today.
