Plot in a box.

Today we looked after our grandchildren so that their parents could do work to prepare for the new term.

As it is our allotments annual show on Sunday they helped me make a scarecrow….to be blipped when complete. This is for families and can be any theme it does not have to be a traditional scarecrow.

 There is also a children’s class ..’Plot in a box’ …so this is their offering. First we went and looked at various plants and trees nearby to see what had small leaves, flowers, fruit etc. and picked suitable ones…including hips, lavender, verbena and various parts of conifers. A good result but will it last until Sunday? I may have to renew some of it.

They also finished their Queen Elizabeth II and Charles III Coronation scrapbooks. I had collected and cut out photos from newspapers after the Queens funeral and after the Coronation. Completed at last…Hopefully they will keep these and look back on them when they are older.
