Another speedy mountain vista

Boy was it good to have another jaunt out of the valley today. This time our destination was the Blue Duck at Motukarara, our local cafe, for a quick latte and brownie with some friends who are getting married next week and then heading off to Europe for a month the next day.

On the way there, I managed to do another drive-by-blip - hot on the heels of last week's entry which ended up as a staff pick for the week! Thanks to all of you who have commented and passed on your congratulations, I certainly was chuffed (and surprised) to say the least!

This week's in-car blip is of the Kaituna flats, looking out over Lake Ellesmere to the snow capped mountains of the Southern Alps. Wall to wall blue with some whispy clouds - my kind of winter's day.
