Pui de Sant Marti

True to form we had a lazy start to the day, meaning we arrived at our walk departure point rather later than we should have done. It was shorter than yesterday's, but it included a yomp up the steep Pui de Sant Marti, allegedly worth the effort because of the abandoned medieval village at the top. This turned out to be a couple of piles of stones and some postholes, but the view was fairly spectacular (the haze is Saharan sand).

It was getting on to midday by now, and was getting pretty hot. The rest of the walk was considerably less strenuous, but when we got back to the car in Ainet de Cardos we decided to skip the extra loop we had planned and go straight home. Stats: 3.2 km, 140 m climbing, 1 1/2 hours.

We had a salad and cheese based lunch and then basically lounged for the rest of the afternoon, enjoying the late-season warmth. Accordion practice now complete and we are sipping wine and preparing dinner (ous estrellats by S). ¡ Salut !
