A day in the life

Ripening

Brambles, one of my favourite berries, I can recall their taste when ever I want to.

Another memory of them is from a winter when I was very young and skied down a low hill, I hadn't fully mastered the art of turning or stopping so I ended up in a huge bramble bush. I still remember how hard it was to get out of it, and how it hurt. I don't recall telling anyone.

The plant I bought doesn't have any thorns. It was planted in late June but has already got a few berries, not quite ripe yet but they will be, during the extra summers week that we suddenly got.
