Wound up in Wexford

The Saltee Islands

We spent today in the company of W's friends, B and P.  They (and W) can be seen in the extra.  We took them home baked rusks and soda bread.

They provided a "light lunch" of French stick with cheese and pate.  Then, despite the rather unsettled conditions, we drove over to Kilmore Quay.  We were lucky with the weather - rain whilst driving there, but we had a gentle walk around the harbour in the dry.  Lots of activity - boats coming and going.

The Saltee Islands are just about 5km offshore, and can be reached by regular boat trips - next summer we will have to visit, as there are puffins!

It rained again as we drove back to Rosslare Strand to drop off B and P (and have another cuppa and biscuit), and again as we drove home.
