At the end of the day

A hot, sweaty and sticky day on a learning turn in Rolvenden signalbox. A very busy day too, 5 train service, plus a Sunday lunch Pullman and a private carriage chartered on the B set.

Everything worked, ran mostly to time and my understanding of the box added a few more details. It’ll be next year now before I have a passing out turn here.

Still very humid at 9.15pm. We avoided and showers or storms. We did manage a decent walk in the gloaming.
