Sunset over neighbour’s barbecue

Thank you for your comments on yesterday’s journal. For some reason, despite the sadness of the Queen’s death I feel a sense of optimism for the future that’s not been there for a good long time.

The King’s speeches yesterday and today were heartfelt and sincere. Perhaps we, as a country, can build on this outpouring of support? We have the opportunity to do so.

Doreen’s care home held a garden party this afternoon for residents and guests, with Pimms, cheese straws, various cakes and tea and entertainment provided by a very good keyboard player.

Todays blip was stolen at the end the sunset after a shower. I liked the colours and the smoke of their barbecue.
