River Medway at East Farleigh

As Susan had plenty of places to be today I drove her to her hospital appointment and parked up in a nearby road (doing some blipping) while she was being looked at. No real conclusion, X-ray needed to ascertain why she doesn’t smell.

From there we did a shortish walk to Barming, down to and along the River and up through Fant (what a fine name which I’ve not been able to find out about its origin) back to the car stopping for a packed lunch at East Farleigh lock. This lovely view of the Medway is today’s blip.

By the time we got home, there were a few minutes before she was off again to the dentist to see about a broken tooth. (She had a broken tooth, not that she wanted one.) Rather oddly the dentist did a temporary filling, said to come back for a full repair at her next appointment and charged her over £20. Why could they not do the job there and then?

Susan went straight to her mum’s from the dentist, I prepared dinner which we had before she had to go back to her mum’s on bed time duties as the care provider didn’t have anybody available. This is beginning to happen more frequently and shows how creaking the system is.
