MGA leaving Dyrham Park

Janet and I nipped off to Durham Park for an afternoon walk and spotted this lovely 1958 MGA in the car park on arrival. When we returned to the car park the owners were just returning to their own car and were very happy to chat about it. With a photo album too. :-)

He'd bought it many years ago, but once home he'd discovered a potage of riveted plates and rust pockets stood on four wheels. It took him ten years to get it to this condition; taking it back to bare rusty metal and replacing wings and wounds and wooden flooring before repainting and chroming.

He and his obviously very patient wife were good enough to drive very slowly past as they left, and the corrugated shed in the background sets it off beautifully. Oh, and we walked through some lovely trees too... ;-)
