A Pleasant Surprise

There has been a really weird shaped stump of a branch which had been cut off knocking about the garage for a long time.
It had some nice patterning in it but I had no idea what to do with it.
This morning I had an idea for making a small vase or similar.
That didn't go to plan.
So 'Plan B' went into operation ........... and I ended up with this rather nice piece.
I was very pleased. 


EDIT ............... I forgot to say that it is 7cm diameter and 5.5cm tall.
