Our school .... Fidelis et Fortis

Sunny, sunny day. Some gardening in the morning and then off to the school open day. I was there when the 'new' school was opened on 21.10.66 (the day of the Aberfan disaster) and now it is about to be demolished and replaced. There was Pimms on the lawn (!), music, tea, coffee and cupcakes in school colours - yellow and maroon.

I didn't meet anyone i knew, but I didn't linger and then east, to West Barns and a long awaited sejourn with just Allan. We sat in the garden with the impro wine bucket, while I 'talked' to the irate blackbird, and drank white wine. Then a fab walk around the coast from West Barns to Dunbar, dinner in the pub and a taxi home.

Great day.
