Security situation

One of my favourite Maputo Saturday activities is to set out late afternoon for a slow ambling walk around the city, ending at the cathedral for sunset. I used to live a few minutes from here. Now it takes an hour to walk, but it’s worth it.

On my return from the cathedral I bought fruit off a woman who had to borrow my 20 meticais change from a nearby security guard. She said this security guard has been trying to get her to break off her engagement to her man at home. Messy.
